"Dr. Hannibal" Steve Gillespie Passes Away Aged 56

Steve Gillespie, who wrestled as Dr. Hannibal was reportedly found dead in his car yesterday aged 56, according to PWInsider.

Gillespie worked for a number of promotions in Canada in the 80s, and 90s, including Stampede Wrestling and Canadian Rocky Mountain Wrestling. He is best known for his Dr. Hannibal in the 90s for the Japanese promotion FMW. He teamed with Dr. Luther who currently works in AEW in the Nightmare Collective.

Gillespie also worked as an enhancement talent when WWE toured Canada.
