Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting that since his DUI arrest in October WWE has "strongly implored" get help to sort out his health and Jeff has responded well and is "aggressively" doing that right now.Â
Johnson noted that Hardy is still under contract to the company and will be for a while yet as his contract was frozen because of his knee injury. His current contract will not expire in a few months like his brother Matt.
Johnson also noted that even though people have wondered why Hardy is under contract given past legal issues, it is hard for WWE to essentially fire him when he seeking heal for substance issues.Â
In addition, given the current climate in professional wrestling, WWE does not want to lose such a big name to the likes of All Elite Wrestling or Impact.Â
