On the recent edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed WWE tried to oppose the trademarks Cody Rhodes filed.Â
As previously reported, Cody filed for more former WCW event names and titles, including Slamboree and SuperBrawl. The Observer reports that WWE has tried to oppose some of the trademarks that Rhodes was trying to acquire the rights for.
It's not known which trademarks WWE opposed against, and most of the names Cody filed for trademarking are names that WWE haven't used or trademarked themselves but WWE is still opposing them.
AEW will be using the Bash at the Beach name for an upcoming January episode of Dynamite. Cody Rhodes has been looking to gain ownership of the names and titles that his father Dusty Rhodes came up with.
