Below are quick results for tonight’s debut edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown on Fox:
*Vince and Stephanie McMahon come out onto the entrance stage and welcome the fans to the broadcast before the new show intro is aired.
*Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch comes to the ring and talks about how great it is to be part of the debut of Friday Night SmackDown. She begins to speak about how the brand has helped launch her career before she is interrupted by King Corbin. He asks if Lynch still believes that she is truly The Man before The Rock makes his way to the ring. Rock and Lynch begin making fun of Corbin before both attack him.
*Charlotte Flair & Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch def. Sasha Banks & SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley.
*WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins vs. WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura goes to a No Contest after Rollins is attacked by “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt and thrown off of the entrance stage.
*Kevin Owens def. Shane McMahon in a Career vs. Career Ladder Match.
*Braun Strowman, The Miz, and Heavy Machinery def. Randy Orton, WWE United States Champion AJ Styles, and Raw Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode. During the match, Strowman pretends that he wants to box at ringside with undefeated boxing star Tyson Fury. Following the match, Fury attempts to get into the ring after Strowman after jumping the ringside barricade due to Strowman inadvertently sending Ziggler into Fury during the match. Fury is immediately held back by security and later escorted from the building.
*Roman Reigns def. Erick Rowan in a Lumberjack Match.
*Brock Lesnar def. Kofi Kingston to become the new WWE Champion. Following the match, Lesnar is confronted by Rey Mysterio and Cain Velasquez. Velasquez enters the ring and takes down Lesnar, hitting him with some left and right-hand shots, causing Lesnar to retreat. Mysterio and Velasquez challenge Lesnar to come back into the ring, but Lesnar and Paul Heyman retreat.
