WWE Set To Return To Saudi Arabia In May

WWE is set to return to Saudi Arabia on Friday, May 3, according to a report by Fightful.

This will be the third of many events the company plans to hold in Saudi as part of a 10-year partnership with the Saudi General Sports Authority.

The first event held there was the Greatest Royal Rumble, which was held in April 2018 and this was followed up with Crown Jewel in November 2018 at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh. Both events were broadcast live on the WWE Network.

WWE was subject to much criticism for holding Crown Jewel following the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi and the Saudi government’s reported involvement with his death.
