As previously noted, there have been some current contracted stars that have been discussed for the upcoming Mae Young Classic. It now appears that a former WWE star is considering coming out of retirement.
Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Serena Deeb, who retired back in 2015, has been talking to WWE however no deal has been reached yet. Deeb was in Ohio Valley Wrestling from 2005-2009 prior to being called up as part of WWE's ECW brand.
She was sent down to WWE's developmental territory, FCW prior to being called back up as part of Smackdown in 2010. Fans will best remember her as being part of CM Punk's Straight Edge Society faction alongside Punk and Luke Gallows. It was, however, a short run as she was released just a few months later
Deeb continued working the independent scene before announcing her retirement in 2015
