Paige's Dad Claims There Is A 'Conspiracy' By WWE Against His Indy Promotion

WWE Superstar Paige‘s dad, Ricky Knight who is a wrestling promoter in the United Kingdom isn't happy with WWE's recent announcement that they will be returning to Norwich, England in May for another set of United Kingdom Championship events.

Knight was interviewed by BBC Radio Norfolk and had the following to say:

“To me the timing is absolutely crap, and I think there’s a conspiracy somewhere.”

Knight believes WWE's decision to hold the events at Epic Studios in Norwich where his WAW promotion runs was a deliberate attempt by WWE to derail his ticket sales. Knight hosts events at the venue on Friday and Saturday.

Knight went on to say that WWE follows his promotion 'religiously' and it will hurt his biggest week of the year:

“The could’ve left it until Monday. They know we’re doing so well. They follow us religiously, it seems like they do. They would’ve known this is the biggest weekend in WAW history. To me they wanted to cut us open with the announcement this morning and putting their tickets sales on tonight. But tough guys, because this is going to be a sellout tonight anyway. Go and do your best.”
