NXT TakeOver Intro

Tomorrow night it's all about Summerslam. Tonight, however, we are live from the Barclay Centre for NXT TakeOver Brooklyn II and we kick things off with singles action

NO WAY JOSE VS AUSTIN ARIES

Waistlock by Aries as he takes Jose down to the mat. Jose gets back up and goes after Aries. Slap by Jose and a waistlock takedown. Stomp on Aries and a reverse knife edge chop. Irish whip to Aries and Aries slides to the outside avoiding a collision. Back in the ring, a kick by Aries and Jose with a right hand to the jaw sending Aries back to the outside.

Aries stumbles up the ramp but Jose is right after him. Aries trying to escape through the crowd with no luck as Jose throws him back in the ring. Aries gets irish whipped and catches Jose with a back elbow. Aries drops Jose's neck across the top rope and now it's Aries on the attack

Irish whip by Aries and a right hand. Aries off the second rope with an elbow to the back of the neck. 2 count on Jose and Aries with a chinlock on Jose. Jose tries to mount a comeback but Aries still in control and another 2 count on Jose.

Right hand by Aries and Jose getting fired up delivers a series of right hands to Aries. Aries sent flying over the top rope. Jose pulls Aries up and bounces his head off the turnbuckle. Double chops to Aries and Jose builds up steam delivering a back bodydrop to Aries. Aries rolls to the bottom rope but Jose goes to pull him away.

Aries locks the Last Chancery in on Jose and Jose crawling towards the ropes forcing the break. Forearm to Aries and Aries fires back with his own forearms. Jose counters the rolling elbow with a TKO. Jose looks for the spinning full nelson but Aries sends Jose to the outside. Aries flies through the ropes sending Jose into the barricades

Back in the ring, Aries uses the second rope delivering a neckbreaker. Aries hooks Jose up for a suplex but Jose reverses it into a modified falconero. Full nelson countered by Aries who connects with a rolling elbow. Jose fires back and goes for the full nelson slam

Aries backs Jose into the corner. Cruficix bomb by Aries. 2 count by Aries. Aries goes to the top rope, Jose with an uppercut. Jose on the top rope, delivers right hands to Aries. Aries fires back with a short elbow. Sunset flip by Aries into the Last Chancery forcing the tap out

Post Match: Aries continues the attack on Jose however is stopped by the returning Hideo Itami who makes his way out to the ring. Aries goes after Itami but Itami hits the GTS and lays Aries out

Backstage: Samoa Joe prepares for his match tonight. In the opposite locker room Shinsuke Nakamura is preparing as well.

Back in the arena, we are set for our second match of the evening

BILLIE KAYE VS EMBER MOON

Billie with a side headlock on Ember and a hammerlock exchange between the two. Elbow by Billie. Headscissors takedown by Ember. Ember tries for a crucifix. Billie misses with a right hand but connnects the second time around

Headbutt by Billie. Irish whip and right hand misses as Ember connects with a crossbody. Eat Defeat by Billie and a 2 count on Ember. Billie unloads with right hnads. Billie picks Ember up but Ember tries to counter. Forearms across the back and Billie with a backbreaker. Billi drops Ember face first and another series of nearfalls for Billie.

Ember with a roll up and only a 1 count. Billie picks Ember up but Ember delivers shots to the jaw. Ember with back elbows and a kick. Suplex by Ember off the neckbreaker. Clothesline in the corner and Ember goes to the top rope.
Ember off to rope delivers a twisting stunner for the three count.

Backstage: Bobby Roode says New York is his kind of town. Not Brooklyn though. Tonight, Brooklyn gets to experience Bobby Roode take it to that next level and make it glorious and up next is the NXT TakeOver debut of Bobby Roode

BOBBY ROODE VS ANDRADE CIEN ALMAS

Roode with a wristlock on Almas. Almas counters. Roode with a side headlock and Almas misses with a dropkick. Almas backs Roode into the corner and Roode back on the attack. Almas with a chop. Roode with an irish whip and Almas off the ropes with a leg drop. Headscissors takedown sends Roode to the outside and Almas connects with boots to the jaw.

Roode slides back in the ring, Almas on the apron with a shoulder tackle. Roode cuts Almas off the ropes. Exchange of chops between Almas and roode. Roode whips Almas across the ring and a splash by Roode.

Roode hooks Almas up for a vertical suplex. 2 count on Almas. Roode with a knee to the back. Chinlock by Roode on Almas. Almas gets to his feet and Roode continues the attack. Almas tries to mount a comeback. Roode on the top rope and Almas with a dropkick sends Roode to the outside. Almas with a springboard corkscrew plancha. Crossbody by Almas and a 2 count on Roode.

Almas with a bulldog to Roode. Right hands in the corner by Almas. Almas runs into a clothesline by Roode and another nearfall on Almas. Roode sits Almas on the top rope. Waistlock by Roode and Almas blocks with elbows sending Roode to the mat. Roode with a flip and Almas with a straight jacket suplex for a 2 count. Moonsault by Almas but Roode gets the knees up. Fisherman suplex by Roode and Almas counters into a small package. Right hand exchange between Roode and Almas

Almas connects with a kick and the running knee delivered by Almas. Headlock DDT countered by Roode who delivers an uppercut. Waistlock countered by Roode. Roode with a spinebuster. Roode picks Almas and delivers the Glorious Bomb for the three count

Backstage: Johnny Gargano is preparing for his tag team championship match and Tomasso Ciampa walks in handing him a t-shirt talking about "#DIY"

NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: THE REVIVAL VS TOMASSO CIAMPA AND JOHNNY GARGANO

Ciampa and Dawson lock up and it's Dawson backing Ciampa in the corner. Dawson goes aftr the arm. Side headlock by Dawson and Ciampa goes back to work on the arm. Side headlock take down by Dawson. Ciampa goes after Dawson who slides out of the ring

Dawson with chops to Ciampa and Dawson and Gargano take turns taking shots at Dawson. Gargano with double knees to Dawson. Gargano goes to the work on the arm. Wilder tags in goes after Garagno. Low dropkick by Gargano. Gargano goes to work on Wilder's arm. Wilder with a slam. Armdrags by Gargano to Dawson who tags back in.

Chop by Dawson to Gargano and a straight elbow. Wilder back in and irish whip to Garagno who slides to the outside. All four men in the ring and Ciampa and Gargano clear the ring.

Dive by Gargano through the ropes. Ciampa with a dive of his own. Wilder gets thrown back in the ring but Wilder rolls back to the outside. Tag to Dawson and forearms by Cuampa. Dawson with a suplex to Ciampa. The champions double team on Ciampa

Irish whip by Wilder and Dawson off the ropes drops an elbow. Chinlock by Dawson.  Dawson prevents a tag by Gargano. Double team on Ciampa. Wilder preventing the tag to Gargano. Dawson with a 2 count on Ciampa. Snapmare by Dawson. Body scissors chinlock combination on Ciampa. Back bodydrop by Ciampa and the tag to Gargano. Referee didn't see the tag allowing Dawson and Wilder to deliver the elbow to Ciampa.

Right hands by Dawson and Ciampa fights back. Clothesline to Dawson. Gargano gets knocked off the apron. Wilder in misses with a knee. Gargano finally gets the tag and Garagno unloads on Dawson and Wilder. Elbow by Wilder. Roll up by Gargano. Neckbreaker by Gargano. Gargano with a spear to Dawson.

The NXT crowd with a "This Is Awesome Chant". DDT by Dawson. Wilder and Dawson with an irish whip. Nearfall for Ciampa and Gargano. Ciampa has the armbar locked in. Suplex by Dawson and Wilder countered as we get an "NXT" chant.

Right hands exchange between Ciampa and Dawson. Knee by Ciampa. Irish whip by Dawson. Kick to the Ciampa. Ciampa with the knee to Wilder and Gargano goes to cover for the pin but the referee waves it off seeing Wilder's foot on the bottom rope. Dawson sent to the outside. Ciampa and Gargano look to finish Wilder off but Dawson pulls Ciampa to the outside.

Chopblock to Gargano and Dawson locks in the reverse figure four for the tap out

NXT WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP: BAYLEY VS ASUKA

A "Let's Go Asuka/Let's Go Bayley" chant erupts as Bayley and Asuka test each other's strength. Series of nearfalls by bayley. Clothesline to Asuka. Bayley with a whip, reversed by Asuka. Elbow by Bayley and Asuka with a knee across the bridge of the nose.

Bayley rolls to the outside. Asuka back on the attack. Hip attack in the corner. Asuka ties Bayley up in the ropes. Nearfall by Asuka. Bayley goes after Asuka bouncing her head off the turnbuckle. Asuka reverses it.

Asuka with leg strikes in the ropes. Asuka to the outside with a running dropkick and anothe4r nearfall. Bayley's head repeatedly bounced off the turnbuckle and Bayley turns things around. Suplex to Asuka. Elbow to the spine, clothesline and a legdrop by Bayley. Bayley backs Asuka in the corner and a right hand.

Asuka misses a hip attack and Bayley with a stunner using the second rope. Nearfall for Bayley. Bayley goes to the top rope misses with a crossbody. Asuka with a shining wizard.

Asuka has Bayley on the top rope hooking her up for a superplex. Bayley slides out and pulls Asuka down into a tree of woe. Big elbow drop by Bayley

Bayley and Asuka exchanging right hands and Bayley with a running knee. Asuka going for the submission. Series of nearfalls, ankle lock by Asuka and Bayley kicking her way out of it. Right overhand to Bayley. Series of kicks to Bayley

Asuka hits Bayley in the face, backslide by Asuka and Bayley delivering strikes of her own. Bayley catches Asuka's kick looking to olift her up and Bayley plants Asuka face first

Asuka goes for the Asuka Lock. Bayley fights out of it and delivers a Bayley to Belly. Asuka lock on Bayley but it's not locked in as Bayley gets to her feet. Bayley with a slap, kick by Asuka and the cover for the three count

Video: Samoa Joe-Shinsuke Nakamura rivalry

NXT CHAMPIONSHIP: SAMOA JOE VS SHINSUKE NAKAMURA

Joe messed with the wrong man delivering a headbutt early on, so Nakamura tackled him down to the mat. Big ol’ scrap in the middle of the ring. They eventually came to their feet before locking up. Joe used his size and strength to control Nakamura, who answered with mind games to lure in Joe. Vibration Boots in the corner, but Joe held onto Nakamura’s boot to soften the blows.

The fight moved to the floor, where Nakamura and Joe beat the crap out of each other. They were nearly double counted-out, but Nakamura made it back in at eight and Joe returned at nine. Joe then rocked Nakamura with an enzuguiri kick. The crowd tried to rally behind Nakamura by singing his theme song, then Nakamura caught Joe on the ring ropes.

Nakamura tried to catch Joe with a knee drop across the ring apron, but Joe avoided and Nakamura crashed hard on his knee. Nakamura sold the knee, then Joe delivered a running suicide dive elbow to rock Nakamura. Back in the ring, Joe slowed the pace and worked over Nakamura’s left knee.

Suddenly, Joe caught Nakamura with a powerbomb. Joe delivered it sit-out style, scored a two count, and flowed into a Boston Crab. Transition to STF, Joe blocked a rope-break, and transitioned to a Crossface. But, Nakamura escaped to his feet. Nakamura suddenly landed a desperation kick to the head and both men sold on the mat.

At 12:00, Nakamura rocked Joe with kicks and forearms. Corner clothesline, then he hoisted Joe on the top turnbuckle to deliver a charging knee to the gut. Nakamura lifted up Joe looking for a exploder, but Joe blocked. Joe delivered a big boot and tried a running senton, but Nakamura rolled out of the way. Nakamura followed with a leg trip into knee strikes to the head. Nakamura tried a corner charge, but Joe blocked with a frontslam attempt.

Joe then put Nakamura on the top turnbuckle looking for the Musclebuster, but Nakamura blocked and nailed a leaping knee strike to the head. Both men sold on the mat before recovering to their feet. Forearms exchanged, then Joe absolutely blasted Nakamura with a a left-arm lariat, dropping Nakamura on his head.

Joe tried to follow, but Nakamura ducked and rolled into a cross arm-breaker in the middle of the ring. Joe blocked the full application, then Joe transitioned to a triangle lock. Suddenly, Joe powered Nakamura’s body into the air and then he sat down on Shinsuke’s back with a Texas Cloverleaf. But, Nakamura reached the ropes for a break.

Joe wanted the rear-naked choke, but Nakamura rolled through. Giant knee strike from Joe, but Nakamura kicked out just in time. Joe then put Nakamura on the top turnbuckle, but Nakamura blocked and delivered an impressive-looking German Suplex. Nakamura started feeling it and wanted the Kinshasa, firing up the crowd, but Joe countered with a snap powerslam for a close two count.

Joe wanted the Musclebuster, and this time he connected in the middle of the ring. Joe covered Nakamura, but Nakamura kicked out just in time. Joe was incredulous. Angered. Offended. The crowd rallied by singing Nakamura’s theme song as they hit 20:00.

Joe picked up Nakamura trying to silence the singing supporters with a second Musclebuster, but Nakamura slipped out. Joe then slipped down and Nakamura smashed him with the Kinshasa. Nakamura covered, but Joe kicked out just before three. Big exchange and Joe sold an injury to his jaw. Nakamura started feeling it, then he nailed a knee to the back of the head. Joe was in trouble and Nakamura nailed the Kinshasa in the middle of the ring. Nakamura fell on top of Joe and covered him for the pin and the win.

The winner of the match and new NXT Champion: Shinsuke Nakamura
