18 years ago in 1998, the WWF held the King of the Ring '98 pay-per-view live from the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It will be forever remembered as the night where The Undertaker threw Mick Foley (Mankind) off the roof of the Hell in a Cell cage on the announcers table below, oh and he continued before being slammed through the top of the cell.Â
As well as being a visual spectacle, it promoted one of the most legendary calls in the history of the business, when Jim Ross uttered the words: "Good God almighty! That killed him! As God as my witness, he is broken in half!"
Even Undertaker himself though he had killed Foley who shared a personal anecdote last year about the Dead Man that he learned about after the match was over. He posted on his official Facebook page:
"June 28, 1998 - an unforgettable day for all Mankind. I later learned that The Undertaker thought I may have been dead at the time this photo was taken. My career and life both changed dramatically on that fateful night in Pittsburgh."
