Daniel Bryan Wanted To Quit WWE To Wrestle For CMLL

Daniel Bryan reportedly wanted to quit WWE and wrestle for another company, Dave Meltzer is reporting in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Bryan, who retired from the ring on Monday's WWE Raw had considered CMLL and grew his hair with the idea of joining and competing in a hair versus mask match. He was also looking at Ring Of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling.

WWE would not allow him out of his contract due to missed time through injury. In any case, Bryan opted to fully retire upon results of recent medical testing and will not be wrestling again for another promotion.

Bryan will remain under contract with WWE.
