Backstage Plans For Sting and Bray Wyatt's WWE SummerSlam Feud

Backstage Plans For Sting and Bray Wyatt's WWE SummerSlam Feud

As we reported yesterday, Luke Harper returned to interfere in the Bray Wyatt vs Roman Reigns match, giving Wyatt the victory and reuniting with his former mentor.

We also noted that Dave Metlzer of The Wrestling Observer said "That's where Sting fits in too."

Further details have emerged today, suggesting Sting will team with Reigns to take on Wyatt and Harper at SummerSlam in a few weeks. Consideration had been given to a six-man match as the original plan was Sting, Reigns and Dean Ambrose vs. Wyatt, Harper and Erick Rowan but Rowan is out of action with an injury.

Meltzer said on the Wrestling Observer Radio that we may see a new Wyatt Family member introduced because Rowan is out. The thinking behind this match is that having Reigns team with Sting will protect Reigns from being booed by the New York City crowd.

In related news, Bray Wyatt sent out this video message to Roman Reigns last night, saying "The Family" has returned. Luke Harper also appears and tells everyone to run.
