Probably not is the simple answer.
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Roman Reigns "mega push" to become the next major superstar in the WWE is still on but we will probably not see him as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion this year.
There is a lot of online speculation with Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar given how easily Lesnar destroyed John Cena at Summerslam. Whilst Reigns seems to be the logical next step for Lesnar after Cena, we already know that Lesnar can only work a limited number of dates this year suggesting a title change before the year is out.
What this means for Roman Reigns is that his "moment" where he truly breaks out will likely come on the biggest stage of them all, Wrestlemania. It is also very logical to give Roman Reigns his moment at Wrestlemania if WWE truly want him to be a huge superstar going forward. As we all know with the WWE, plans can and do change at the last minute.
