WWE has officially announced that the injury recently suffered by Seth Rollins during Wednesday night's WWE live event in Dublin, Ireland is much worse than originally anticipated, as Rollins has torn his right ACL, MCL, and medial meniscus. Former WWE and current ESPN commentator Jonathan Coachman has also reported via his official Twitter page that Rollins will be out of action for six to nine months as a result.Â
As previously reported, Rollins suffered the injury during a match against Kane.
As a result of this injury, Rollins will not be able to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns at the upcoming Survivor Series event as originaly scheduled, and has now been stripped of the title due to his injury. WWE has announced that instead, a tournament will be held at the event to crown a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
