Steve Austin Reportedly Turns Down WWE Tough Enough Amid Rift With Vince McMahon

We posted a report last week that noted Steve Austin was not in town for WrestleMania 31 over the weekend and that came as a surprise to people within WWE as they had plans for him when he arrived.

It now transpires that WWE were under the impressions that Austin was scheduled to fly into San Jose with The Undertaker several days prior to WrestleMania, as they both live in Texas. WWE reportedly had an employee waiting to pick Austin up from the airport but were shocked when he did not appear. WWE hoped that Austin would arrive later and had a room booked for him backstage at Levi's Stadium.

The belief is there has been some kind of argument between Vince McMahon and Austin reportedly over his podcast on the WWE Network, apparently McMahon isn't happy with certain aspects and a likely reason why they are now going to broadcast Chris Jericho's podcast instead.

WWE also requested Austin for the upcoming season of Tough Enough but he reportedly turned it down.

One source close to the situation said McMahon is angry like never before.
